Thank you, Katie. Do you have the contact information for the epidemiologist? Is it one of the following people?

The NE Region EP group has an epidemiologist from MDH that presents on the most prevalent infection risks at the time of the meeting. Her presentation is always interesting to listen to so maybe someone from MDH could present
on your number 2 below. Once the flu season hits everyone is probably going to be presumed COVID with PPE.
☹
Thanks,
Katie

Subject: Region Meeting Schedule- September Topic Input Needed
Importance: High
Hello, Region Leaders,
I hope you are well. I just wanted to give a quick update on the region meeting schedule:
·
September 9th – topic needed
·
November 17 to take place at the Annual Meeting – NEW: There will not be a CEU associated with this but we will still try to gather in our various region groups for a short activity.
Some topic ideas that I have received for September 9th include:
1.
Best practices for caring for COVID positive patients (too late for this?)
2.
COVID and Influenza-
They are predicting a second wave with the combination this fall. Objectives for the session could include: telling them apart, best practices for treating them, handling client illness at home, PPE supplies required, and staff shortages if they become ill.
Please let me know if you like one of the ideas above or if you have another suggestion by Friday, June 19th.
Thank you!

Dear Region Leaders,
I hope you are all doing well. A few changes in the schedule have occurred, they are as follows;
·
May 14th meeting has been cancelled (would have occurred at the Annual Meeting)
·
A June virtual meeting has been tentatively scheduled to learn state legislative updates from Kevin Goodno
·
September 9th topic (defensive training from a legal perspective) will hopefully be moved to April as a webinar instead
o
I will be reaching out in the summer for another topic idea for the September meeting
·
November 18th meeting has been moved to Tuesday, November 17 to take place at the Annual Meeting in Brooklyn Center
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Best regards,
Melissa Stenberg
