Greetings,
I hope you all had a great meeting! Just a few follow up items:
- If you have not already done so, please send your sign-in sheets to either myself or
Melissa ASAP.
- Please send your OASIS-D1 questions to me prior to
February 15th. This will help LoAnn create her presentation.
- We have a potential topic for the September 9th meeting and would like your feedback. Do you think folks would be interested in defensive training from a legal perspective? The title
is TBD, but the speaker would likely be an attorney and answer questions such as:
- If a nurse defends her/himself in a dangerous situation, can I get sued?
- What should I train my staff to do?
- What can I do as a provider to mitigate danger to my staff prior to admitting?
- What questions are we legally allowed to ask (criminal status, sexual predator status, etc)?
- What do people think of getting back to more of a regular schedule for 2021? Perhaps the 3rd month of every quarter (March, June, September, December)? We have tried to
avoid summer meetings, but I think we could get folks to attend by choosing a really good topic
or just anticipate lower attendance in June. Thoughts?
Thanks so much, have a wonderful weekend!
