Greetings,

I have kept you all up to date with most of the Prepayment and UCare news so this will be short. We are including more updates on these topics in the Informer that will be published Weds and for the foreseeable future.

We collaborated on the attached letter which was sent to the DHS Commissioner late Thursday. I know DHS has been quite occupied with CMS being in town and working on the required correction plans, so we have not heard from them since this was sent.

The media has been very interested in learning more about the prepayment and UCare financial impacts on providers and reached out to me without MHCA doing a press release. I have talked with the Star Tribune about prepayment challenges and have an in-person interview with KSTP this morning to discuss UCare. While the KSTP story is planned for Sunday evening news, with all that is happening in MN, whether these stories are covered or when is unpredictable.

On a different topic, we have announced the roll-out of the scholarship program and the MHCF scholarships. Thus far,  we have a couple of applications for scholarships and are waiting for our first request for consulting services.
