We must support Senator Hoffman

Senator Hoffman just came 'off leave' for long enough to send a very terse message to DHS, copying many legislators, as he addressed the crisis caused by the prepayment reviews. He called for DHS to immediately clarify how it will prevent service disruption, how quickly suspended claims will be resolved, and what protections are in place for both recipients and frontline providers during implementation. He also reminded them of his plan to convene hearings to examine the design and implementation of this policy when he returns to work.
His official campaign and platform was just formally announced this week and includes Human Services: A primary focus, including aging, disability services (employment for adults with disabilities), substance use treatment, and early intervention for developmental needs.
His most recent FB post is below. I generally don't ask board members directly to donate to a political campaign but we all know that he has been our strongest champion in St. Paul and he needs our support. Remember that you can receive up to $75 of a donation back from the state ($150 per couple). I encourage you to thank the Senator by helping him today!<https://secure.actblue.com/donate/yes-to-senator-hoffman>
