I would support this change- informing members and "friends" of the change will be important.

Subject: frequency of Informer/news

Hello,

I wanted to follow-up on our discussion regarding the frequency of the Informer. There was a consensus that every other week vs weekly would be preferred (with breaking news, as needed, on the 'off-weeks'). We didn't mention "The Voice," which has been the first week of the month email and includes the ED Message. That has historically been going to a broader group, including non-members and doesn't include content that we believe would be a 'benefit' to members. I'm not sure that members understand the difference between The Voice and the Informer.

Staff had a discussion today and we'd like to recommend no longer doing The Voice and sending the Informer either 2/month or every other week. I could do an ED message each month. Before finalizing, I will do a further review of who would no longer get The Voice. My understanding is that it's a list that's been developed over many years. Our 'friends,' such as LeadingAge, Care Providers, etc receive the Informer through a reciprocal agreement.

We are running this by the Membership Team also. Please let me know if you have any concerns about discontinuing The Voice. Thanks!
