I attended the Simione session at the conference, but not the NAHC one.  Since the PDGM requirements only affect Medicare agencies for now, learning more details right now isn’t as high a priority.

I was at the Simione one at the fall conference and am signed up for the PDGM Readiness one but not the NAHC one.

I think for me to understand PDGM, the hour or 2 to review the rule but would like to see how to approach the new structure in a practical way.  It seems like in my limited understanding, the first 30 days will be the bulk of your visits and half of the payment and then you may end up with a LUPA on the second 30 days, so that would be a huge pay cut.   If that is true,  there might need to be some strategy to make sure we can stay in business.

Subject: PDGM education - input requested

We fully recognize that our members need education/training on PDGM. While it was covered at the Fall Conference, we know many didn’t attend and even those that did may need more insight to the changes. Yesterday’s Informer included information including three different FREE webinars on the topic. We are seeking input from a few of our teams and the Board.

We are hoping that you will be able to listen in on one of these three offerings. If you are able to, could you please let Melissa know:

  1. How much more PDGM education is needed for our members? 1 hour, 2-4 hours, full day? (This could be answered whether you listen in on a webinar or not.)
  2. If you listen to one of the webinars listed in the Informer (and included below for your convenience), which one and would you recommend the speaker?

The list of webinars is also below:

The CY 2019 Medicare Home Health Final Rule – Webinar (FREE for NAHC members, $100 for non-members), Thursday, November 8th, 2-3:30 p.m.  Presented by William A. Thank you in advance for your time and input!
