Hi Kathy – as part of our QIO work, Stratis Health/Lake Superior QIN is participating in a free Leadership and Organizing in Action (LOA) program that has been offered to all QIN-QIOs by CMS in partnership with ReThink Health.  The program is designed to develop skills for building and leading community coalitions to improve health.  Staff from ReThink Health will be coming to Stratis Health on Sept 25 to lead a full-day LOA bootcamp, and we are inviting our key community partners to participate.  See the flier and agenda (linked below) for more details.

You are invited to send 2 people to this training.  You/they can register at the link below.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Hope you are having a good summer!

Best,

Kim

Stratis Health, as part ofLake Superior Quality Innovation Network (QIN), is pleased to offer Leadership and Organizing in Action (LOA) training to our partners who want to be at the forefront of change to improve health and health care in Minnesota.

LOA is a community organizing initiative developed and led byReThink Health. At this day-long workshop, you will learn how to exercise leadership to engage others in population health and quality improvement. You will understand how toorganize and mobilize partners and stakeholders who have an interest in defining ashared vision and action plan to strengthen collaboration and create health together.

The workshop will cover the following essential leadership practices that are proven to engage and activate communities for change:

§ Develop a compelling call to action

§ Identify partners, assets, and power to leverage strengths and develop a relational strategy and tactics

§ Foster collective decision making about goals and interdependent strategy development

§ Create accountability structures and facilitate action - move from talking about issues to taking intentional and measurable action to solve problems.

This is an interactive, highly participatory experience that will involve quiet reflection, skills practice in small groups, and dynamic plenary discussions. You will get to know your fellow participants and leave with practical tools and ideas that can be immediately applied.
