My call is made…..hope you’ll join me….it took just 2 minutes!

This is the issue that Kevin felt would get the best traction; therefore our ask. If the bill is signed, the licensure revisions and predatory offenders mandate will also pass! The MN First Provider Alliance indicated that they’ll share our message as well.

Subject: Action Alert: Call Gov. Dayton!

Ask him to sign supplemental budget bill

Dear MHCA member:

As you may have heard, Governor Dayton has threatened to veto the Omnibus Supplemental Budget Bill. This bill contains three MHCA priority issues – including the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) bill.

please call 800-657-3717 and ask Governor Dayton to sign the supplemental budget bill.

Why should i be concerned?

The federal EVV mandate must be rolled out by January 2019. Minnesota must pass EVV legislation in order to avoid federal penalties, which will likely fall onto the backs of providers.

Although PCA agencies must adhere to the EVV mandate by January 2019, home care agencies should also be concerned because it will impact them in the near future.

 what should i say?

The phone will be answered by staff, or you may be put into a voicemail system. Simply state your name, that you are a constituent, and that you encourage Governor Dayton to sign the supplemental budget bill as it contains critical Human Services federal compliance components including Electronic Visit Verification and we want to avoid federal penalties. It’s really that simple!

Call 800-657-3717 and make your voice heard!

Phone calls are the most effective way to reach the Governor. However, if you wish to contact him via email, you may do so here.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this important matter!
