Thanks, Jan! Our email is now live, although the old emails are not yet transitioned over. Please excuse any delays from staff during this transition.
I also wanted to ensure you all saw the article in the Star Tribune yesterday:
It certainly points out the urgency of our workforce challenge, but doesn’t lay blame on home care industry.

Subject: Re-testing for Nursing Assistants
Good Morning,
Kathy has asked me to send the following message to you as her work e-mail is not up and running yet due to the move.
“I'm curious how many home care agencies are dealing with the nurse aides that need to re-test. The MDH Asst Commissioner that oversees this area invited me to a meeting on Tuesday to discuss this issue. He shared with me on Friday that
very few have retested and I believe only 2% have passed the test! He is concerned that there will be a significant workforce issue when these individuals aren't authorized to work. I will get more info Tuesday but am curious how impacted our members will
be. It would be nice to know a bit more before the Tues afternoon meeting. Any insight from you/other members is appreciated. Thanks!
Please reply to Kathy before Tuesday at noon. Thank you!
