Board Update
I received some surprising news this morning! Anne Major has left Knute Nelson. She is going to spend the holidays focused on her family and consider other options in January. I have checked the Bylaws and conferred with Jan. If Anne leaves the home care industry, we will address the board vacancy at the January board meeting, following the Bylaws protocol. Anne has asked that we not make a full membership announcement at this time. In the meantime, please wish Anne well as she focuses on time with her family. Operations Update
We will be announcing the change in MHCA communications in this week’s The Voice. Beginning in January, we will send the Informer the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. If there is time sensitive breaking news, that will be sent on the off-weeks. I will plan to do the Executive Director message only as needed for special topics. Other organizations seem to have moved away from ED messages and I’d prefer to have the news focus on important issues now that we are decreasing the number of emails. So, December will be the last monthly newsletter with an ED message.
The Communications and Member Relations Manager position has been posted.
The provider member renewals are going in the mail today. Many thanks to Annie for stepping up and helping get that out the door!
