I received a call from MDH regarding the HCBS Employee Scholarship Program that was approved this past session. Apparently there had been a program managed through DHS – through the rates - and MDH has been instructed to manage this program
more effectively. Will was looking for provider input on how they can administer it more effectively. Are any of you familiar with the previous program or have an idea of which providers may be? I appreciate any insight you can provide!
We are also in discussion about how we can help members prepare for and apply for these scholarships (hopefully as a collaborative effort with CareProviders and LeadingAge, who brought the bill forward). Your input is welcome on this, as
well.
