I just listened to the VNAA call on the F2F legislation. Below are my notes and attached is the actual bill they submitted (only 8 pages and worth reading).

Senators introduced legislation yesterday. VNAA has been working on this for a few months.

1. Review of the legislation

VNAA will create a one page summary in a day or so.

2. Background

a. They expect more stakeholder attention

b. They want to collect a lot more supporters- both republicans and democrats

c. Go to VNAA website for a letter to send to our senators.

d. Supreme Court may review in a few weeks. Congress will be out in August so VNAA just wants to continue to collect supporters.

e. If this legislation was passed, the proposed date would be 10-1-16 for this to be effective.

f. Probe and educate reviews- CMS said they are going to pick 25 claims and will deny claim if they deem the documentation insufficient.
