Happy New Year!
I'd like to start by sharing the wonderful news that Nicoleen is the new CEO of Accurate Home Care! Please join me in congratulating her on this exciting new chapter!
We are looking forward to being fully staffed once again. Paulette will be starting the end of January and being more fully engaged in early February.
The staff will meet 2 top candidates for the Office Manager position Monday. I am excited to have an individual that has the skill set to manage some projects and expect someone to start within 2 weeks.
The 2025 committees are kicking off the new year next week and Melissa has been instrumental in helping with the many administrative tasks associated with this transition.
Dan continues to bring in earlier renewals than we've had in the past and we are hopeful to meet our North Dakota goal by month end.
Sue Heitkamp, former leader at CHI, has contracted with MHCA to help us kick off the gathering of information, identifying pain points, and helping to identify advocacy needs for our new members in North Dakota.
I will be working with her and transition her work to Paulette after the initial analysis, allowing Paulette to get oriented to MHCA before taking on ND.
We are mostly adjusted to operating administratively out of my home and will continue that until we have the new office space. I have determined that is more prudent than having a new employee manage cash from their
home (I’m sure Jaime will agree!). We continue to have some mail forwarding challenges so there are some delays. It’s complicated by having 4 organizations at one address and MHCA/MNHPC having similar acronyms.

I will be at the Home Care 100 Jan 18-22 and hope to bring back insights for the future.
