Kathy I believe in your strong leadership skills to get the association through this stressful period! Let us know if there is anything we can help you with. Wishing the best to both Brianna and Lauren.

Subject: more staff news

I apologize if this is a duplication. I am not finding my email to you in my sent folder, nor my drafts. It appears to be in the cloud somewhere!

Lauren gave her notice yesterday (Monday). While the timing is difficult, I’m looking at the silver lining of being able to assess our staffing needs and potentially make some adjustments.

One of the downsides to having a small staff in a low-budget association is that we attract more entry level individuals who will move on due to the minimal opportunities we can offer for professional growth. That is the case with Lauren – she has a desire to continue growing and didn’t see opportunities here at MHCA.

A letter is going out Weds am (hopefully you’ll see this first!) to the members.

A couple of good news items:

I am gathering input from Dan and Melissa as I determine the best structure for MHCA. I anticipate it will take some time to find someone with home care knowledge for the regulatory position but have support in place for the interim.

Please let me know if you have questions.

Kind Regards,

Kathy Messerli
