Member Events

We had an excellent Legislate Update webinar this week. It was packed with information from the busy session! We had 150 registrants and more than 80 logged in for the live event. This is by far our greatest attendance for a legislative webinar! We extended the invite to non-members, as an opportunity for them to experience the value of MHCA; Dan will be following up with the non-members who attended.

 

We have a Member Meeting next week. I’m on vacation (warning Toni – it’s our Alex week!) so the highlight message from me will be a recording.  We have been impatiently waiting for the Proposed Rule, which had not yet been released. If we don’t have info by tomorrow’s recording, Brianna will follow the recording with a live update on the Rule. We will have two breakouts; thanks to Stephanie Thiede for facilitating the retention breakout. The Leadership Development Committee will also be encouraging members to engage by serving on committees/the board at the beginning of each break-out session. Thanks to Stephanie and Rochelle Wodarz for covering that message!

 

Once again, we have, what I believe is an excellent agenda for the Annual Meeting. Melissa will share more with you at the next board meeting.

 

Advocacy

MHCA has been working with NAHC on advocacy around the Medicaid Access Rule, Brianna is serving on the NAHC committee, we’ve asked members to complete a survey gathering important data and we drafted an agency template comment letter. I hope you have all completed the survey and sent a comment letter to CMS. Kristy and I co-signed a letter from MHCA. Many thanks to Brianna for her work on this initiative – and the work she’ll put into the upcoming Proposed Rule!

 

July Board Meeting

Remember the July 27th board meeting will be in person; hope to see most of you at the MHCA office! We will kick off with a presentation and discussion on Community Paramedicine.
