Our survey was ACHC, the best part is our RN was also doing O2 sats but the surveyor didn’t say anthing about that. Only our PT.

I have argued with our PTs on that. They say it is an assessment not a treatment. At any rate I was thinking it was a joint commission thing. Was your survey state or federal ?

I know a while ago I heard about agencies getting a deficiency for checking O2 sats without an order. Our Fargo agency received a deficiency for our PT checking O2 sat –“treatments only administered as ordered by physician”.
I would have to say that an O2 sat is not a treatment and plan to appeal this, I am wondering if any of you have come across this as well and have any ammunition I could use to fight this one? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
