Hi Everyone!
It’s so hard to know. We are doing something’s hybrid - having a virtual option while still in person. Not always the easiest to keep people engaged. Curious why the time decreases so much virtually. Are they reducing content?

Virtual May be a good choice. Dollars are really tight right now.

Thanks for including me!

Subject: [External Email] Seeking Feedback on Coding Workshop

Hello,

We currently have ICD-10 coding scheduled for an in-person 2-day workshop on November 9-10, 2022 in St. Cloud. With reduced registrations for Blueprint for OASIS due to outsourcing and restrictions on travel dollars, we’d welcome you input on whether we should move this to a virtual workshop.

Move to Virtual

Pros: No speaker travel fees, no F&B fees, no staff travel fees (MSP to St. Cloud), more people could potentially register if they have a freeze on travel right now. We could offer this to other state associations for a state revenue share.

Cons: Virtual training would be shorter than in person (8 hours over 4 days vs. 16 hours over two days), some people do not like the virtual trainings and want to be back in person.

Below are the numbers from the past few years:

2018- In Person, 34 registered/Budgeted for 30

2019- In Person, 56 registered/Budgeted for 30

2020- In person, moved to Virtual, 32 registered/Budgeted for 30

2021- Virtual, 25 registered/budgeted for 40

2022- Budgeted for 40

Thank you for any insight you can provide!

Kind Regards,

Kathy Messerli
