Annual Meeting
With staffing issues and Covid being an additional challenge this year, I thought you may be interested in our Annual Meeting numbers.

Number registered to attend conference: 152

Number who attended the conference 132

The break-down for those who didn’t attend: No-shows - 5; Covid related cancellations - 14, Other reason – 1
·
Those who were unable to attend due to Covid but sent a substitute attendee: 7
·
For dinner invitees: registered 214, no-shows 7, cancelled due to Covid 16
Committee Leaders
On a positive note, the promotion of committees at the Annual Meeting was effective! We should end up with approximately 70 members serving this year, a bit shy of this year but not as significant as we feared.
I still have one committee leader slot open (assuming Olga is still willing to serve as the Advocacy Vice Chair for the interim while I gauge other leader engagement among the group. While the committee rosters will be reviewed and approved at the December
board meeting, I would like approval of these leaders via email so that we can get an orientation scheduled prior to the board meeting.

Bookkeeper Services
As you know, we contract out for our bookkeeper services. The bookkeeper assigned to our account for the past couple of years left for another position. And immediately following that, the owner was diagnosed with
cancer that will require difficult treatment. We are working through the challenges with this situation and have an interim plan in place. I will make a change if we are not able to stay on track with projects. That being said, it’s possible the financial
statement will be sent to you after the board packet for the December meeting.
Future Meetings
With Covid continuing to increase, it has been decided to require either vaccine proof or a negative test (within 72 hours) as we did for the Annual Meeting for our in-person board meetings. And with the holidays
around the corner, the December meeting will be held virtually. You can expect an updated meeting invite once we determine the length of the meeting.
