The refund policy we approved included a few stages. Those canceling now for Covid-related reasons are being refund the registration less the cost of food and beverage (which is $225). So, while we won’t lose money on the food and beverage, we will lose revenue.

Some of the registered attendees had not made plans regarding testing sites and the process timelines and are now scrambling to find options. We learned that some testing sites will use BionaxNOW for rapid testing. We sent a notice out that we will accept that test if it’s administered at a testing site and includes a date stamp.

Staff will be monitoring emails tomorrow as we expect to hear from others.

I will be praying that others remain healthy and that we don’t have positive cases at the conference. Looking forward to seeing several of you Sunday!

Dang this pandemic!  Agree with moving forward.  It could be a small group by Monday. I just got my booster shot though – I am ready to go! 

Is there a refund for cancelling due to Covid?  Just wondering if there will be reimbursement costs for the association.

Although, I don’t think that it’s the best idea to move forward with the conference, I am still planning to attend reluctantly.  I do agree with you that pivoting is quite difficult and could be very costly to the association.

Fairview just changed their in-person meeting policy based on the Minnesota COVID ACT NOW guidelines. Our Joint Commission survey is on hold because of high numbers in Minnesota. We are feeling more impact now than we have the entire pandemic.

I’m sorry that you are having to deal with this two days before!

Between yesterday and today, we have had 8 attendees cancel due to Covid (positive or exposure). Pivoting at this point is quite difficult. We know others are very excited about being there in person and believe we should move forward unless we receive a significant number of cancellations tomorrow.
