Yes – move forward

Thank you for the clarification. Although this isn’t perfect, there is no expense to MHCA and no contract so I support offering it to members as an additional membership benefit. If needed, agencies can partner with other agencies to share the large quantities.

It’s nice that he is willing to send one kit to review. If you don’t have anyone in the metro available to assess the kit, I would be happy to have our ICP department at the hospital review it if you have them send it here.

Have a great day everyone!

Katie

Subject: PPE Buyers - Please Vote

Here are the responses to your various questions:

1.       Art isn’t set up to be able to send out samples to individual customers as everything ships direct from the warehouse in California and he is in new Jersey.  However, he will put together a one-time sample pack of the majority of their current offerings, and send it to us so that we can take a look.  Perhaps MHCA staff can collaborate with a local agency to evaluate the quality (if you are willing, let me know)  He will also send, electronic copies of every document of certification and quality control on all the products, as well as photos of the packaging showing details. Also, any individual customer can request photos of products and packaging prior to ordering.

2.       He does not have XXXL gowns right now but will explore his suppliers and see what he can do.

3.       Mandy reached out to Medline several times and they have not responded. We clarified that PPE-Buyers does not have a relationship with Medline. I do want to be sensitive to our Business Partners; at the same time, other states have been doing this and none of them shared a down-side.

Two more states have signed on, with Illinois being the latest one this week.

Please reply all with your vote: Yes to move forward; No to not sign an agreement

Thanks everyone!!

Be Well,
