We do not use contract staff to do the initial assessment and always have one of our employees on record as the case manager.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Contract Staff

Is there anything prohibiting a contract nurse or therapist from completing an admission assessment?

My organization has always had an agency employed staff admit patients to service, and only used contract staff for ongoing visits.  I'm wondering if we could use contract staff to complete an admission, if needed.

Thanks
