I just purchased mobile scanners for clinicians, so they were not taking pictures with their phones. There are HIPAA compliance scanning apps that can also be used and then uploaded to the chart from the application.

We just started using One Drive to take a pic that transfers to pdf and then it’s uploaded in the chat.
We couldn’t find anything that stated it had to be a scanned hard copy uploaded into the chart when we were investigating this process.

Hi,
Quick question regarding the Medicare forms. Can we take a picture of the signed form and attach it to the patient’s electronic medical record, or do we need to scan a copy into the record?
Is anyone else annoyed that the updated form turned into 2 pages with the paperwork reduction statement? You don’t need to answer that.
