Thank you Brianna.  Was there any conversation about where HHAs will publish their specific information.  The new CoP states we need to make publicly available – I asked in a SimiTree webinar but there was no information known about that.  Just curious if any intel in the session you attended?

Hey,

Did anyone attend the McBee call on the final rule? I thought it was very good.

They had a few things to note on the new COP requirement and I added the slides with some notes to this email. Main take away I got was that your new policy shouldn’t just list out the services you do/do not offer. You should be listing out things like if you can/cannot provide nursing every day, constraints on certain services (for example, if you don’t have a HHA currently for a certain territory, that should be published and updated when you do have a HHA for it), etc.  

They did state that the interpretive guidelines for the new COP requirement are in the works so hopefully they are done and published before Jan 1.

I agree, there wasn’t a lot of information and most questions weren’t able to be answered by the staff available.  I ended up submitting a few questions to the ODF email following the call, hoping to get more feedback that way.  I can add this to the next workgroup agenda as well.
