We do not have a tool either.  Our typical approach would be to share our Care Compare results.  Let the new staff know which OASIS items/ claims based measures are used for the Quality Star and also share all  the HHCAHPS questions and which of those determine the Patient Star.

Does anyone have a tool that they use to educate their staff on how the STAR Ratings work? If so, are you willing to share it? There is a lot of information available, but nothing nicely packaged that I could find.
