I think all the ideas presented were excellent.  My priority request would be to work on the provider coding tool.  This seems to be our biggest barrier.  Thank you for all you do Brianna, your participation in keeping this moving forward is appreciated.  L.

Subject: RE: Follow up items

Our biggest issues with referrals are…

  • Community provider completing a F2F for another community provider
  • Not having accurate F2F codes that are acceptable to be used as a primary code

Ideas for workgroup projects if we want to create tools for members:

  • Homebound tip sheet (providers or HC clinicians)
  • Coding tip sheet (providers)
  • F2F corroboration tip sheet for clinicians
  • F2F tip sheet (providers)
  • Medical necessity chart review tool

Thanks,

Katie

Hi,

Thank you all for a great meeting today! Below are a few questions I have for the group:

1)     We will be doing some advocacy work with MMA and doc’s. What issues are you seeing with referrals? Anything outside of f2f and knowing if someone is actually homebound or not?

2)     Anyone working with a community health worker?

3)     There is a RFI out there on Medicare advantage plans. I have attached the questions CMS is looking for feedback on. Is there any interest from this group on responding to any of the questions they are asking?

Here are the events/education I spoke of on the call today:

-        Day at the Capitol, next Wednesday

-        March member meeting (safety exercise, part 1)

-        Safety exercise, part 2

-        New free monthly webinar (most of the webinars are with Melinda Gaboury/someone from her team)

This link above has the registration for the March event and at the bottom, is a list of the ones coming up. When you are filling out the form, there is an option to select the whole series vs individually signing up for each one. This is the series that has the GG items in April
