RAC Audit Activity
Some of our member agencies have reported that they are receiving audit requests from the Recovery Audit Contractor (Performant). From what we can tell, the RAC is requesting
the medical records for a 60-day period of one patient, with dates of service in 2019-2020. The request letters have been arriving via the USPS. If your home health agency has never had a RAC audit review, you may want to go to their website and update your
contact information.
