Thanks, Bonnie for this overview!  Sounds like the surveyor was more focused on helping you than writing up issues/deficiencies?  Please let me know if anything is cited in her final report.  We’re working on keeping tabs to identify inconsistencies between surveyors/regions of the state.

Hello Medicare team,

Today we had COVID19 Focused Survey.

She arrived around 11:30

Requested :

Census

Employee week Schedule

List of Residents with admit date

ICP Plan and Assessment

EP staffing Plan

Staff Education regarding monitor and screening

Policies :

Infection Control Surveillance Plan

Resident cares related to infection control

Hand hygiene

Transmission based Precautions

Standard Precautions

Emerging treats

Visitor Policies

Staff illness

Type/duration ( when would they remove precautions)

Surveillance logs for past 3 months. Staff and clients

She reviewed items for about 2 hrs, made calls to staff and clients. I will email her all the Policy’s this afternoon.

She will call tomorrow after reviewing, to request additional items if needed and for the Exit.

One item she mentioned was staff wearing the same masks from one client to the next.

She made a suggestion of keeping a mask in a bag, labeled for each client and using that same mask for same client.

So I don’t know , we still have the same cloth on….
