Thank you all for your quick responses!

For those using med administration – do you integrate with a larger system and does that have any negative implications from the system level (clinic/hospital side of things)?

For those copy/pasting the med list into interventions – do you have a tipsheet/guidance document you’d be willing to share?

Thanks again!

Hi Everyone,

We do the same as Kay has below. We find it to be the most efficient way to document the med set-ups and include all details required by the CoPs.

Thanks!

Hello,

We use epic and we go into each medication and hit administer now and put in the info that is required. Not ideal but we found copying and pasting they were not updating when we needed it to me, so higher rate of error in documentation.

Thanks

Kay

Subject: EPIC - medication set up documentation

Hello,

My agency will be implementing Epic and it doesn’t appear there is a good method for documenting medication set up that meets MN licensure requirements.  Are there any Epic agencies that are willing to share how they use Epic to document med sets to comply with CoPs and MN licensure requirements?  Any survey issues?

The option we are being given involves copy/pasting the med list information and modifying…not ideal!  Hoping others may have come up with a workable solution they are willing to share.

Thanks!
