Good Morning,

I am wondering if anyone can help me out with the CMS Enterprise Portal and IDM. I have attached the email I received below.  
We are  a Medicare Certified agency but have not had a Medicare client in over 5 years but continue to keep our certification.   I do not recall every using this and I am wondering if anyone has any information  on the IDM/ CMS enterprise portal.  We do not use it for anything that I can recall.  I have tried reading all about it and what it is for but I am not understanding.  Wondering if anyone can tell me what the CMS enterprise portal is for and why I would need to have  continued access or what I am missing.      Please let me know if I am directing  this to the right group.   


Dear LJNV517,

The IDM system is bound by CMS’ Acceptable Risk Safeguard (ARS) to delete accounts after a period of inactivity.

If you do not log into your account (User ID = LJNV517) before Wednesday, April 22nd , 2024, your account will be deleted in accordance with ARS policy. Once your account has been deleted, it will be unrecoverable and you will be required to create a new account to regain access to the system. When you recreate your account please note that you will also need to go through Identity Proofing again, as well as re-request any roles you had.

If you still require access to your account and you are unable to log in, please use the system’s self-service functions to recover your account before it is deleted. Please note that once your account has been deleted, these recovery mechanisms will no longer work.
