Hello! 

We have not had any appeals come over on a weekend.  If the clinician ‘thinks’ that the patient may appeal and we are close to the weekend, we take an ‘all hands-on deck’ approach to review the chart and prepare for the chart request for the appeal.  Livanta is easy to get a hold of and welcomes questions so you could ask them for future reference what their expectation is for weekend appeals.

We have received two Medicare Appeal notices via fax over a weekend. Our agency doesn’t have staff in the office as our business hours are M-F, 8-5. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Livanta is the organization sending these. Fortunately we caught them but curious if others are experiencing weekend notices come through. Thank you.
