We are having issues with all our MA payers when we have a case worker giving auth- so only those that require authorization for services. The state says they are so backed up and nothing they can do. So patients are getting discharged or visits are being put on hold because we cannot get payment without auth nor can they guarantee they will get it and when. We have 2 patients we discharged for no auth and are still trying to recoup the last 2 months we provided services without auth. It's unfortunate for our patients.

Hi,

 

Is anyone having issues getting nursing authorization for AC waiver?

For example, we have a member agency who went through KEPRO to get authorization. KEPRO is not letting them get the authorization, stating they need to go to the county worker, but the county worker is directing them to a “support planner”.

 

Anyone else experiencing this?
