Actually this one aspect is permanent – Congress passed a law requiring CMS to change their regulations, and MN passed a law to make it effective for all Medicaid clients (we didn’t have to pass the law for Medicare – MDH regulations already complied with CMS changes.)

So for it to go away, two new laws would have to happen, one in MN and one federally.  That’s pretty unlikely (though I can’t say impossible!!)

It took a pandemic but we got this 😊

I am guessing that the manual wasn't updated to include NP's because "HH billing for COVID is a very fluid situation" (the words from the presenter on Monday regarding COVID waivers.  She also said no handouts were going to be given for the presentation because things change so quickly and they didn't want anything in writing.  Just another "out" for a reason not to pay.

This might not be the right group to ask, but you have all been so knowledgeable with so much, thought I would ask if anyone is aware of this? I stumbled across this in my reading about billing but I swear I have it in an email somewhere that NPs are now able to order home care since COVID. Is this just an old and not yet updated provider manual?
