Subject: VA claims as of 10/01/18
I am curious if other agencies received this attached letter from the VA regarding changes to claims with dates of service 10/01/18 and after.
It looks like they are requiring HCPCS code G0156 for HMKR now with either Rev Code 580 or 581. In order to submit claims like that would require a UB not a 1500. I tried calling the phone number on the letter to confirm the correct billing,
but I they could not answer my question. They just directed me to our local VA Fee Service – who just directs me to them.

Does anyone else have any insight on this? I have attached the full letter.
