We have only provided social worker under Medicare. I would also be curious if agencies have been successful under MA. I believe the need would be bigger under MA; however, many of our MA patients already have case management support.

Greetings Billers listserv!

 

We have a question from a member – wondering if someone on the listserv may have an answer for her?

 

“We are providing social work visit to Medicaid home care clients when needed to assist them with finding resources, etc.  We are not getting reimbursement for those visits as DHS says it is not a covered service.  Do you know if other home care agencies are getting reimbursed thru Medicaid for these services?  If they are I would like to know what code they bill under.  Thanks so much for your assistance.”
