We don’t at this time. 

 

I’m currently working on an issue with ChampVA and PTA’s.  We billed for both PT and PTA services and they don’t pay for PTA’s - it’s a benefit exclusion.  Be aware.

When billing for Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant visits to payers that are not Medicare, such as UCare, South Country and the VA for example.  Do you need to get two separate authorizations, one specifically for the PT visits and another specifically for the PTA visits?
