I don’t think they do yet. And yes, you would think they then would require oasis…

I personally have not heard or read this anywhere.
Currently agencies are not required to do an OASIS on the VA clients and therefore it would be impossible to bill episodically if no OASIS was completed. It also would not make much sense to authorize a specific
number of units to be billed if a provider is expected to bill episodically.
My theory is that this is incorrect information.
BUT…then again, I am not sure if much of anything would surprise me coming from HealthNet.

We have been in contact with Health Net and one of their representatives hinted at the fact that we “may” be getting denied because we were not billing episodic! Some but not all of our authorizations refer
to 60 day periods.
Anyone else hear this ?
