Our agency has a question we’ve never been 100% sure on, when billing an MSHO/Advantage/Medicare Replacement plan (i.e. UCare, Humana, and other MSHO plans) for homecare do you or do you not bill for and supply medical supplies, such as wound care supplies?

Does the patient have to go through their pharmacy to get the supplies needed? Are the supplies included in the reimbursement to homecare from these plans?
