Yes. And if the medical insurance is something else that needs a prior authorization, I would get that too, in case MVA does not pay or is exhausted.

I just checked with our MVA biller and she said that if the patient lives with anyone who has MVA insurance, that would be billed, MN is weird.
Just last year we had a lady who didn't have a license and was a passenger in someone else's vehicle and her boyfriend/roommate’s insurance paid. It is weird I tell ya. They may want to check with their agent.

We have a patient we will be admitting to home care who was in a car accident. They were the passenger in the vehicle and carry no car insurance themself because they are unable
to drive. Would we need to bill the driver's MVA insurance for the services? Or would we bill the patient's health insurance? Thanks!
