Related to UHC – how are people billing out Home Health Aide Visits G0156 for United Health Care Medicare Advantage plans?

We are told they do not cover HHA services but I thought CMS approved HHA as a basic/necessary service that can be provided at any given time if needed.  With that, I would think, UHC would at least cover the HHA during a Medicare episode.

I am wondering if we are billing something incorrect and that is why we aren’t being reimbursed?

Same question for Medica Medicare advantage plans – we bill using G0156 HHA but need to get authorization and some times reimbursed, other times not.
