Skilled services, as in a Nurse visit? (not Medicare)  I don’t know why you couldn’t bill them separately  as well. I think I’ve been seeing denials for the Nurse visit on the claim, even though it’s the HHA/auth they are denying. That would eliminate that problem…dth

 

 

 

We send ours separately as well. In addition to this question, can you send home health aid visits separate from skilled services? I just was curious because sometimes we get denials if the authorization for home health aid takes a while to come back and Medica denies the whole claim including the skilled services. It would be nice if we could bill them separately, but I don’t know if you can do that.

 

 

I was told that too. So I do bill them separately, both on UBs. They are right, less denials …dth

 

 

 

How are others billing Homemaking and Home Health aide to Medica?  Are you sending them on the same claim?

I have been told by two representatives that they should be going on separate claims because they never come on the same authorization ?  I can find nothing on the Medica website to support this but was curious how other agencies are handing it?
