If they have any kind of waiver, they don't get free visits.  I have never been able to get CADI or EW to pay without a service agreement and I have never gotten AC to pay for therapy visits.  I don't remember ever not having a service agreement for RN & Aide when someone has AC.  BUT it's been quite a while since I have had anyone on AC.

In my experience – which I swear isn’t consistent and therefore no dumb questions – if they have a waiver of any sort they do not honor the 9 “free” visits.  It has only worked for us if they are AC only clients.

Okay, I feel like this is a dumb question, but...

As far as I know, MA still has 9 free SNV per year, correct? Does it depend on the program or waiver they are on? I know I have used them in the recent past, but I am struggling to get visits paid on a CADI waiver client using the free visits. The LSW was hesitant about having to do a service agreement, so I said I would try the free visits. I am getting denials relating to the authorization. Has something changed that I am not aware of? Is there a trick I am missing? Thoughts?

Thank you,
