Have them look at the authorizations procedure for home care skilled nurse visits in MNITS – DHS.
Under home care, MA says there are 9 covered NV. But under authorizations for skilled nurse visits it says there are 9 covered NV (unless there is a waiver in place). This is why they get confused.

They do this ALL the time. The waiver overrides the 9 covered NVs. They don’t get any when there is a waiver. From: billers@ list. mnhomecare. org

Okay, I feel like this is a dumb question, but. . . As far as I know, MA still has 9 free SNV per year, correct? Does it depend on the program
or waiver they are on? I know I have used them in the recent past, but I am struggling to get visits

Okay, I feel like this is a dumb question, but...
As far as I know, MA still has 9 free SNV per year, correct? Does it depend on the program or waiver they are on? I know I have used them in the recent past, but I am struggling to
get visits paid on a CADI waiver client using the free visits. The LSW was hesitant about having to do a service agreement, so I said I would try the free visits. I am getting denials relating to the authorization. Has something changed that I am not aware
of? Is there a trick I am missing? Thoughts?
