I experience the same thing! I ask for a supervisor, they say they will email them and have them return my call. Never received a call back on any of them. When I follow up, they say they manager reviewed it and said the denial is correct. It's so frustrating!

I just called on them yesterday and they RP the couple over the phone and no issue. I then sent a spreadsheet in after bc I had another 50 or so and didn't want to keep calling back to have them get RP.  Of course it hasn't been a day so I don't know what they are saying on those yet. 

Optum is so hard to get help. No sups available, I was told one would call me back, but not holding my breath at all!! I don't have a contact bc noone ever gives me a name, they always say "sup is not available but I can email them and have them call", I'm like sure they will. Never had I ever had one call me back. They do as little as possible to help us!!

I am also having trouble with the Optum nonbundled claims. I have been faxing spreadsheets in and in the past few months that has been successful in getting the majority of the claims processed. However, the last time I tried this it did not work and now they are sending us letters on some of the appeals saying the value code 85 is not required. Anyone else having that trouble? Thanks!

I called and they RP for me when I had a couple, it was a VA glitch. I also faxed a bunch of claims with that issue and was told they will RP those and I did it that way bc I had like 50.

No she would not reprocess she said I had to resubmit the claims without the Value code 85.  When I tried to fight with EPIC On this they told me it HAD to be on there.  Optum just told me to look on CMS.gov.  UGH.

I had denials for that as well and hopped on the optum va website chat (https://www.myvaccn.com/site/vaccn/main/public/login#/links/Start%20Here/STARTHERELINKS/Register%20on%20myVACCN.com/RegisteronmyVACCN.com is the link if you don't have the site) and explained to them that it was a processing error on their end and they immediately reprocessed it right over the chat and told me the payable amount.

I know this has been discussed but I can't find the answer in my zillions of emails when I was gone for 10 days last month.  Is this an Optum problem or EPIC's problem?  I do have the Value code 85 and corresponding code but not Value code 61.  It is a nonbundled VA claim.
Finalized/Denial Status Explanation
VALUE CODE 61 IS MISSING OR THE SUBMITTED CORE-BASED STATISTICAL AREA (CBSA) IS INVALID. VALUE CODE 85 IS MISSING OR THE SUBMITTED STATE AND COUNTY CODE IS INVALID.
