Hello all!
I have been exchanging emails with the MN DHS Liaison contact for BCBS. I made her aware of the issues we were having last month and she acknowledged she was aware but that the delay
was due to BCBS meticulously reviewing claims before paying. Now that this new error has appeared, I have re-engaged to make sure she is aware of the change. See her message below!
“Feel free to share my contact information to other home care agencies who are also struggling with getting payments from Managed Care Organizations (MCOs). We do ask providers to
contact the MCOs first to try to resolve the issues on their own, but if that has not been effective, we are (I am a part of a team of contract managers working with state contracted MCOs) more than happy to step-in, to escalate the issue, and to work with
both you and the MCO to move things in the right direction.
