We discharge the patient, use status code “06” (indicating a transfer of pay source). The patient will need a new Start of Care under their new Medicare plan.

Hi! I know this has been asked before, but I cannot find the history in my emails.
How does everyone handle when a client switches from 1 advantage plan to a different one mid episode?
We have a client who had Humana for January but switched to UHC 2/1/2024.
