Hi Tracy –
We had problems with them initially as well, but things are much smoother now and our claims are paying consistently.
We bill rev code 0551 with T1030, and we also get auth (see attached form) – even though if you call, the reps will say auth is not required. Once we started submitting claims with auth numbers on them, they started paying without issue.
And they have been authorizing for a full calendar year.
When our claims were denying, we would upload medical records to each claim in UHC’s portal as part of a reconsideration request and they all eventually paid. (The only other option for submitting medical records is snail mail – no fax
number exists, and no email either.)
Hope this helps!
Thanks –

I have 2 clients with a United Health SNBC plan. I have never worked with United Health MA plans before. Their claims are denying and I cannot figure out why. Anyone have any advice?
Like How do you bill claims to them? T1030 code with rev code 0551? I have gotten NOWHERE with them after 4 months of trying to get help…
