Does anyone else use Availity? I can't use any of the BCBS functions on Availity, so I can't get new ID numbers, check claim status or eligibility. Anyone else having issues? Any other ways to get new ID numbers?

April they gave a webinar on this and I took notes. (foronce lol) For the pdgm claims, you can use old number for overlapping. For 2023 claims, use old id number. For 2024 claims use new id number. They have parted ways with Amerigroup so the new Payer id number is 00726.  ALL claims submitted after 1/1/24 go to the 00726 pid regardless of date of service.

Good afternoon,

As of January 1st, BC ID's have changed for MSHO policies. We have just a few patients on the Medicare side of their benefit. How is everyone handling those patients? Will BC deny the claim if it has their old ID number on it? I believe in past years they have. There isn't a way to bill the dates of service if they are in the middle of their episode without discharging and readmitting since it bills like Medicare claims would. Any suggestions? I am trying to be proactive to avoid denials if possible. Thanks!
