Appreciate this helpful information, it's all so confusing. Does anyone know if this applies to S5130 or just the modifier- S5130-TG?

I am continually confused and frustrated but here is my understanding.  Full disclosure this may not be right, but this is how I am interpreting it.

  1. EVV is required for PCA, they are not “enforcing” at this time but eventually when they figure out life they will be and you risk losing your funding if you are not fully up and operational on EVV.
  2. EVV for PCA with MCOs, is set to go “live” sometime in May.  At that time, you’ll need to onboard your PCA clients that have an MCO
  3. Homemaking for the S5130-TG specifically I guess is going “live” at this same time that PCA T1019 with any modifiers.  (I guess I was ignorant because I thought this was only going to impact CMS services and homemaking is not a CMS service so this was not even on my radar.  Again, since this was a federal law that was passed, I missed the “waivered services” part.  And for us, our homemaking doesn’t fall under our PCA licensing, it falls under our Comprehensive Home Care License or Home Management License, so my fault but lost sight of that).
  4. EVV for home care (Phase 4) – TBD, I’ve posted the answer that I received from the HHAeXchange representative in this morning’s training
    1. Codes that are in “Phase 4” G0300, G0299, T1004, T1021, S9129-TF, S9129-TF UC, S9126-UC, S9129, S9131-TF, S9131-TF UC, S931-UC, S9131, S5181-UC, S5181, T1031, T1030, S9128, S9128UC

We really aren’t very involved as we have been advised home care agencies not providing homemaking or PCA don’t need to get ready yet…..

“Billers List” –

Good afternoon.  Are others “clear as water (or maybe “clear as mud?”)”  yet on what needs to be done on the following new change (to meet EVV compliance updates):

How are your Home Health Billers/Billing Department (potentially) involved in the above change/new project?  I believe the above is applicable to MN and even ND.

I would assume that the above is basically “a project to export & send clinical data to payers (that are participating in EVV in both MN and ND).”   I heard that there may not be details yet on how MN and ND want the EVV data submitted to them.  So,  probably the key thing to focus-in on now (??) is how to export EVV data of “our” regular medical/claims system;  then, the submission piece should get discussed or resolved in more detail sometime soon.

Any extra thoughts, please?

Thank you,

Kevin
