To clarify, my question was, can we (Lifespark) only bill the med set up and the bladder therapy is billed by someone else? I believe you are saying the answer is yes. Staci Boehmer Home Health and Hospice Billing Manager Direct: 952-428-7295

Yes because medication set up can be done only in conjunction with other skills related to meds such as unstable health status, recent hospitalizations, med noncompliance which could cause issues resulting in hospitalization is is billed under the MA side.

Good afternoon,

We have successfully billed Homemaking on a UB-04 to Medica. Homemaking is generally billed on a CMS 1500 claim form but Medica bills on a UB-04. Make sure you have authorization. Good luck!

Hi,

We are billing Homemaking services for the first time to Medica under the Elderly Waiver. Just wondering if anyone has successfully done this and would be willing to answer a few questions?

1.       Do we use the UB-04 or the HCFA 1500?

2.       Do you have any tips?

Thank you!
