What type of bill are you using?  If you are using 341 I can see why it would be returned if the admit date is not within 7 days of the statement but if you are using 343 I don't understand the verbiage.  343 is a continuing claim so the admit date should not be an issue.

Hello my fellow billers, 

 

Anyone struggling with VA Optum claims/batches getting rejected for "Admit Date Not Within 7 Days of Statement"? They are getting rejected before they even reach VA so chat and calling were no help. I still kept on digging and pushing and found out they did implement a new claim edit for type of bill. So, I am curious what type of bill you are all using. I will mention that it is for regular, non-bundled claims.
